This is an illustration I did few years ago when I was researching UFO abductions phenomena in popular culture.
There is a The Doors song: "The Crystal Ship" that really inspired me to make this illustration. This song is also a soundtrack for one of X-Files episodes. You can actually listen to this song and be able to see that it is explaining relationship between people that are constantly abducted by aliens, and their lives so much into it, that they don't even care anymore.
The Crystal Ship
Before you slip into unconsciousness
I'd like to have another kiss
Another flashing chance at bliss
Another kiss, another kiss
The days are bright and filled with pain
Enclose me in your gentle rain
The time you ran was too insane
We'll meet again, we'll meet again
Oh tell me where your freedom lies
The streets are fields that never die
Deliver me from reasons why
You'd rather cry, I'd rather fly
The crystal ship is being filled
A thousand girls, a thousand thrills
A million ways to spend your time
When we get back, I'll drop a line
Illustration approach is inspired by a trailer culture white trash hippies that live in the "middle of nowhere" in the states like Iowa, Wyoming, Texas... and for some unknown reason those people tend to believe that they were abducted by aliens.
In the illustration you can see a young woman that is pregnant, held by a father that is human/alien hybrid. She have embroidered jeans jacket with the words "Our Lord, Jesus Christ". Waving to the UFO's with a long aluminium foil. Inn the background you can see their trailer.
